USA Factory Team Specialized/Sho-Air

Team Sho-Air/Specialized has assembled one of the strongest U.S. domestic professional cross country mountain bike teams around and captured the 2009 Men’s Pro XCT team title, which they hope to defend in 2010.

For 2010 the Sho-Air/Specialized team will be composed of four riders, plus guest rider; AMA road racer Ben Bostrom.

Sid Taberlay and Max Plaxton will spearhead the team’s domestic cross country efforts, with U23 development rider Tad Elliot joining the squad this year.

Reigning La Ruta Champions Manuel Prado, and Ben Bostrom will look to repeat their 2009 La Ruta wins, and focus on key endurance races for 2010.

2010 Team Line up:

Sid Taberlay - The 5X Australian National XC Champion and Athens Olympian has now added a 2010 Australian national short track title to his race palmares. The "Tasmanian Devil" as he’s known back home, finished 2nd overall in the 2009 Pro XCT title chasing, taking a big win at round #3. Look for Taberlay to make a run at the #1 plate for 2010.

Manny Prado -The Costa Rican transplant solidified himself as one of the top endurance racers in 2009, when he won the La Ruta stage race. Long known for his endurance prowess and ability to suffer, Prado looks to target other key endurance events in 2010, as well as defending his La Ruta and Costa Rican XC National title.

Max Plaxton-The young Canadian has long been touted as the next up and coming North America cross country talent. “The Mountie” had a break out year in 2009, leading the Pro XCT series for 3 rounds and taking his first US National XC win in Colorado. Look for Plaxton to be a serious title contender in 2010.

Ty Kady-The former Semi Pro XC rider and 3X Sea Otter Champion will be acting as Sho-Air/Specialized's team manager for 2010. Ty brings with him years of elite level racing experience from his days Super Cross and Motocross racer on the AMA circuit back in the late '90's.
